Magic of Logic - My view!

Rajiv Bajaj's decision to exit production of scooters saying he was not only not convinced but was "hurt" by it. "I feel bad, I feel hurt," Rahul Bajaj said, Reacting to his father's remark, the company's MD Rajiv Bajaj said during the show: "I care less for the solution from emotions, I believe more in the magic of logic."

We all know how bad it is to see the age old 'HAMARA BAJAJ' vanish from the scene as we virtually had grown up with it. But with the changing times it does make sense to look forward and take some hard decisions. But having said that somehow am not convinced with the arguments about 'emotions' and the 'magic of logic'. Like Rajiv Bajaj I too feel decisions cannot be based on 'emotions' alone. But at the same time I also feel decisions cannot be based on 'magic of logic' alone.

Ok.. my logic is simple. 'Emotional quotant' mixed wisely with 'Magic of Logic' makes it a great success story other wise it will be a disaster for sure. Emotion for Scio-economic situations and pure logic for business situations. Makes sense. Doesn't it?

The power of retrospection

Do you retrospect your doings once in a while?

Many a times we have so many things going around us that we tend to ignore the basic demands of life. In such a scenario you neither do justice to yourself nor to others who is around you.

The best way to come out of it is to take a deep breath and restropect as what is good and what is not. In a way it helps you to have time for yourself.

Make it a week-end activity, so that the following week you will be fresh and raring to go again

Satisfaction guaranteed?

No wonder when I saw a statement from Vinod Kambli that "Sachin should have done more, when his career is in downward spiral".

Am I surprised to see such a statement from a long time friend like his?? Nopes... not at all. The reason is simple, after all he is a human too where we are always greedy and hypocrites. At no point in our lives 'satisfaction is guaranteed'. If things doesn't work out, we talk whatever we want. So Kambli is no exception to it.

Sachin is one of a kind. Pretty much incomparable with respect to his behavior on and off the field. As a true gentlemen Sachin took this too in his stride, which he is doing from ages.

I still remember Sachin being accused of supporting the likes of Kambli, Agarkar many a times. Who can forget that? Except ofcourse Kambli!

Good Luck Kambli - for the cheap publicity where you screwed up your life long friendship with the 'great Sachin' big time. Only future will tell whether you can hold on to this friendship any more.

Lessons to be Learnt

The first time I saw this video, I got goose bumps. Ofcourse many a times after that too. Now it is not strange, people dedicated portals/wikipedia page on her name to cash in on her popularity.

But more than enjoying her performance.. there are things that needs to be learned from this experience.

 

There is this famous saying.. "Appearances can be deceptive". This exactly suits this person who is in the video. I believe it is a eye opener for most of us as we need to make a conscious effort to remind ourselves time and again..."Never ever judge a person by his/her looks".

 

Ofcourse the judge of the show had rightly put "I am so thrilled because I know that everybody was against you. I honestly think that we were all being very cynical, and I think that's the biggest wake-up call ever. And I just want to say that it was a complete privilege listening to that."

 

Being 'humble, simple & innocent' can get you to places. This is precisely what Susan Boyle personified all about. Be humble and a good human being, this will take you to places.

 

Last but not least, natural talent/abilities always take you to places. The only thing we need to do is to push it in the right direction. If that is done, the rest is history!

The Casual (Serious) Political Talk?

Usually when any election is round the corner... you really look forward to it with lot of 'Excitement & Optimism'. Remember the election of the great Obama? The first African American getting elected as President of the United States? What an amazing race he had and what a finish. It is like a breath of fresh air not only for people in US but for people around the world.

 But these days the elections in India SCARES me rather than the normal ‘Excitement & Optimism’. Not because I don't see ‘Excitement & Optimism’ here. Ofcourse I see. 

I see Excitement & Optimism as probably for the very first time, quite a few highly educated people want to join politics and make a difference. 

I see Excitement & Optimism in many such individuals who are young and dynamic wanting to join the politics and take India in a new direction. 

I see Excitement & Optimism as these are the signs to see a better developed India in the time to come where there is NO poverty, No corruption, No vote bank politics, No communalization etc., but just a wonderful and a peaceful place to live.

But more than anything especially for this election, my so called ‘Excitement & Optimism’ is superceded by my ‘SCARE’. Am more concerned/scared about two things 1) The Political parties & 2) The people

Every Indian knows IN & OUT about politicians and their parties, which are so powerful and most of them have groomed tainted & corrupted leaders, who won't allow anybody especially the new entrants to come to power at any cost. Remember, the recent emergence of the 'Third Front'? This might be a good beginning. But have you seen leaders in it? Eighty percent of them are highly qualified but unfortunately in Corruption and in every possible dangerous activity one can imagine.  

Just imagine if they come to power how India will be? Question is whether they can come to power? Ofcourse they have every possibility. How? The reason is simple, people vote. Why people vote? They vote either because they get a free TV, free Money, Free Liquor, Free Electricity, Free ration etc., as the majority (70%) of India are from rural back ground and they prefer to vote for anybody who gives them anything for 'free'!

Imagining our great country in their hands scares/concerns me a lot. So where does India go from here? Not sure. Wait and watch for May 13^th when the elections results are out. By the way prepare for the worse!

The Way of Life

Have you ever lived in USA without power for days? If not, you are blessed. On the other hand, if yes, I can only say it really sucks! I think many who faced this situation will not disagree with me on this. Do you?

The best part in USA unlike in India is, there are NO power cuts, there are NO power break downs (failures) and there is NO power shortage. Then everybody might be wondering then where is the question of ‘without power’? Here power goes off when natural calamities like strong winds, hurricanes etc., struck. In my case it is the former which played its part.

Now the question is why life sucks when there is no power? Because we live happily back home in India without power.

Life sucks because you cannot cook as most of the house holds have electric stoves.

Life sucks because you cannot take bath as the water is either too cold or in some cases water stops coming.

Life sucks because most of the restaurants/shopping malls are closed because there is no power.

Life sucks because traffic signals will not work and as a result there are huge traffic jams.

Life sucks because there is NO internet.

Life sucks because you cannot watch TV especially the whether channel. Yes they have dedicated 24/7 whether channels. People plan their week end vacations/outings based on that.

Life sucks because your telephone line is dead except when you are using AT&T.

Life sucks because life virtually comes to a stand still as almost everything is depend on power here with no back up generators.

Over all, we felt we lived in a stone age, when there is NO power.

The best part of India is we are sort of used to NOT having power and on the top of it we are not so much depend on power for our day to day needs. Also in India the power is restored the very next day even in the worst cases unlike here in USA, where it takes days minimum of 1 to 7 days for the power to get restored as they give utmost importance to safety and to 'human life' before turning on the power in the repaired areas as people might sue them, if something untoward happens.

Now coming to the best part in USA when there is NO power and as a result when your traffic signals are down, there is an amazing 'Traffic sense' displayed by people, who are on roads. Yes, people who drive here in these conditions have amazing traffic sense. Absolutely NO chaos at all. They respect and are concerned about others safety. They stop at every signal irrespective of whether people/vehicles are there are not. Allow the vehicles from smaller lanes to join the main roads even though the main road is cluttered with heavy traffic. In contrast, when I remember about this in India, it is utter chaos. I remember how everybody used to barge in from all sides, when the traffic lights are relaxed after 11 pm in Bangalore. People fight for their places and thus create self induced huge traffic jams, which takes couple of hours to clear off.

Ah, having seen both the sides of the coin, I can say ‘That’s the way of life’ here and believe me even though it really sucks with NO power, on the positive side it is interesting to experience such a thing once in a life time and lot more fun too, to be in a position of not knowing what to do!

The Confusion

It pains me....when my so called dear friend 'looks' dishonest, though it is not true.
It pains me....when my so called dear friend 'looks' suspicious, though it is not true.
It pains me....when my so called dear friend 'tries to' act too smart, though it is not true.
It pains me....when my so called dear friend 'tries to' avoid me, though it is not true.
It pains me....when my so called dear friend 'sometimes' make me look like a fool, though it is not true.

Sometimes I wonder as why this is happening to me... only to me! But as they say... 'Thatz Life'. Need to accept how it comes n move on.

Never the less, plzzz donna do this 2 me my dear friend as I donna like it n I'm not used 2 it ........ Infact I just hate that. I just hate that!!!

But on the hindside, it gives me an opportunity to thank u for al the learning's that u gave me from these experiences.

Thank u thank u thank u for making me a better human being, if not the best!
